Tradies / Construction Workers

  • Are you expected to just get on with it, even when things aren’t okay?

  • Do you work in a place where no one really talks about this stuff?

  • Is the stress making it harder to concentrate or keep up?

  • Are you pulling away from the people close to you?

  • Are you relying on alcohol, gambling or distractions just to get through the week?

The Pressure to Keep Going

Working in the trades takes strength. But over time, physical wear, long hours, financial stress, and constant pressure to perform can start to chip away at your mental wellbeing — even if you’re showing up and getting the job done.

You might feel like there’s no space to talk about it, or that needing support means you can’t handle it. But that’s not weakness — it’s reality. You’re not alone in feeling the strain.

Signs Things Might Be Getting Too Much

  • Snapping at people more than usual

  • Trouble sleeping, switching off, or winding down

  • Feeling flat, tense, or disconnected

  • Drinking or gambling more to cope

  • Struggling to keep your focus at work

How Support Can Help

You don’t need to be in crisis to get something out of talking. A confidential, pressure-free space can help you:

  • Clear your head

  • Make sense of what’s going on

  • Deal with stress, conflict or relationships

  • Break unhelpful habits or coping cycles

  • Feel more steady, in control, and connected again
